Choosing the perfect Indonesian islands to explore is always a daunting task - the world's largest archipelago is blessed with wild nature, both above and below water, wonderful cuisine and unspoiled paradises, and so many not-to-be-missed destinations that you'd probably need years to see it all.
Yet, if there was one Indonesian island that all first-time visitors should see - besides mesmerizing Bali, of course - it would be Komodo.
The island is part of the East Nusa Tenggara region of Indonesia, one of the best destinations to go Sailing and Cruising in the country. Komodo is famous worldwide for being home to the Komodo Dragons, the largest lizard on earth, measuring up to three meters and weighing 150 kilos.
Visiting the dragons is a must do while in Komodo - other fun activities include hiking to the top of nearby Padar Island to enjoy a stunning view of three beaches of different colors and swimming at Komodo's Pink Beach.
Yet, if you don't head underwater, you've only had half the fun - Komodo is a stunning scuba diving destination, with excellent opportunities to see manta rays and turtles, and if you're not certified you can opt for some snorkeling.
You can't miss Komodo on your next trip to Indonesia! Keep browsing our listings below to know more!
